to practice the art, to live in the culture, and i like learning new movements like the different combinations of au and floreios. in addition, it's another way of having fun because any one can play capoiera.
I play capoeira because it's fun! I love playing capoeira, it makes me forget about anything negative and adds positivity to my day. I like to challenge myself to improve in all the elements of capoeira, movements, floreios, singing, berimbau, atabaque, maculele, everything!
I play capoeira because it has helped me become more comfortable in my skin. At first, i felt that it would take several months just to get adjusted to the different sets of moves and following the rhytm of the music but, it only took less than a week to learn how to jinga and learning the different kicks! i LOVE playing the berimbau, panderu, a go go, especially the atabaque! I feel great knowing that i can sing capoeira songs and play an instrument at the same time... it took some weeks but i mastered to do both at the same time! :)
